Brewers Gate Lofts Earns Its First Award

Among the Merit Award winners for the AIA Columbus 2008 design
competition was the Brewers Gate Lofts, located in the Brewery
District of Columbus, Ohio. Built on the site of a vacant manufacturing
building, the lofts created, “urban housing with great ambition to make
exterior spaces,” commented the judges. The design features
alternating auto courts and garden courts located between the five
separate buildings, creating a significant amount of green space in a
dense, urban project.
